This has been a roller coaster. Considering NK just reportedly destroyed their only known nuclear facility I'm wondering if we are on the better side of this exchange?

I remember hearing that repeated on Reddit, and then a geologic enthusiast of some kind basically said that's just patently false. I guess the earthquake that was recorded only collapsed an empty tunnel and it could still be fully functional. Unfortunately I have no immidiate source and thought it was intriguing but didn't have time to follow up on it. I will try to find the comment and link it (unless linking to Reddit isn't allowed?)
38 North, a site devoted specifically to analysis of North Korea, published an article a month or so ago pretty well debunking that the facility was unusable

I remain hopeful that all this doesn't evaporate in smoke, but I guess we'll have to see
Looks like South Korea was blind-sided by this decision.

I'm a bit skeptical there, because from earlier reporting they actually accidentally destroyed their facility a while back with testing.

Edit: Source
Edit2: I remembered how to make the link look pretty

That’s the test sight, not the manufacturering facility

Anyone actually surprised? Disappointed, yes. But surprised, nope.
