So instead it just sits there and grows, and they find out after it's already hit the lymph nodes and the rest of your system, and then you're pretty much screwed. It ALSO happens to have several types of cancer that just grow and spread very rapidly.
It's of note because Steve Jobs got pancreatic cancer, BUT they caught it early and it was actually a treatable type. And then he decided just eating fruit was better than following his doctors treatment advice.
