Since we're all drowing in a flood of fascist (mis) information and very little is coming through on the democratic side, I feel its important to note that the DNC has a new leader, Ken Martin, and it was the one not endorsed by the old guard that has strangled the DNC of its resources the last several years.
Several party heavyweights endorsed Wikler in the final days of the election, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
The old, antiquated, guard has spent weeks campaigning and trying to force through their option. We should be happy to know that the DNC and their voting members are starting to realize that if you rely on the old institution, you will fail.
Wikler was an endorser of more national campaign funds, focusing only on the largest contests and not on state or local elections; the new DNC leader is the antithesis of that, and has wanted and been focused on more grassroot and local state elections. Time will tell if that holds.
Sure, he's not my number one choice, but it should be noted that the old guard has fallen, and are finally being replaced after their disastrous turn of power.
I think he's a good choice. Seems like the vibe with DNC revival strategy is out with the coasts, in with midwest, and that seems sound given the biggest complaint is that democrats sound like out...
