The whole point of our so-called "justice system" is to bring back slavery via the "duly convicted" backdoor in the Thirteenth Amendment. Disproportionately arresting, trying, and convicting black people for crimes that wouldn't raise an eyebrow if committed by white people is done by design. Likewise the disenfranchisement of former convicts.
It's all about preserving white supremacy, but nobody wants to admit it.
To be fair, I think many uneducated voters are unaware that this is the real reason behind why they are voting in "tough on crime" laws or politicians. They dress up the law in so many layers of...

They dress up the law in so many layers of bullshit that it takes a bit of a questioning mind to uncover the real reason.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the politicians promoting this kind of legislation aren't even aware that what they are doing is racist.
You're right, but I suspect that a lot of the bullshit exists specifically to obfuscate racist intent because of Lee Atwater's "Southern Strategy". He pretty much says that you can't be openly...
You're right, but I suspect that a lot of the bullshit exists specifically to obfuscate racist intent because of Lee Atwater's "Southern Strategy". He pretty much says that you can't be openly racist if you want to get elected, so you have to hide behind abstractions. Alt-reich kiddies on 4chan call this "hiding your powerlevel", but they aren't doing or saying anything original.

You know this, you're just being dismissive. Have a good day.
All I saw was you quoting someone else and asking questions based on the quote. I wasn't sure if you were aware how this website works, because I've seen other people do the same thing.
dont gripe at me
Can you explain how I'm griping at you? All I'm doing is offering advice here. If your questions pertain to what demifiend said, you should direct them at demifiend. Directing them at someone else is assuming that they are making the same statement (they may not be) and that they can answer your questions about someone else's statement (they definitively cannot, as they are not that person).
Not going to waste anymore time arguing. Ill delete my comments and accept the lesson of not posting where you two are around to tag team fair questions.

The conversation is about voting.
If you want to reply to demifiend, you should reply to demifiend and not someone else.
