All specifically referential to Australian politics so as a non-Aussie it’s pretty hard to follow. Regardless, it’s a linkjack to a Guardian article. Why not just link to the actual article?

Oh apologies. I saw the Guardian link at the top and to me that’s a red flag of a linkjack but I should be more careful about those accusations around here. Anyway I’m glad to see someone’s still...

Hey this probably isn’t the right place for this kind of question, but I’m interested in some general discussion about what Tildes is, is there some ongoing thread about that, or an archived thread I could peruse to get an overview of folks’ thoughts on the matter? Feel free to tell me you’re too busy for this or it’s inappropriate to post here. Cheers.

I put an "australia" tag on the post so anyone who's not interested in Aussie politics will know to skip over this (or can filter it out).

As @Deimos rightly points out - this is the original article, which was then also published on the Guardian. (I always look for the original source where possible, or the closest article to the original.)

My reflex when I’m the first commenter on Reddit is to post some kind of summary of the article from my perspective. And of course on Reddit we curate our content ourselves but Tildes is clearly different in ways I don’t fully understand yet.
Regarding the linkjack thing I was wrong and again offer my apology.

It's not a link-jack. The Guardian re-published it from the Grattan Institute's site.

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but look through topics in the ~tildes group or feel free to post your own.
