Feel free to tell me you’re too busy for this or it’s inappropriate to post here. Cheers.

Personally I seriously doubt AI art will ever be critically superior to human art.
Even taking that film Her as an example. It was a decent story but the actual scientific elements seemed completely fantastic and speculative to me. Guess I just prefer Philip Dick style speculation.

But from what you and others are saying it seem like it’s really just not worth the effort except as a curiosity.

But seriously, $4000+ for this thing? WHAT THE FUCK. Overall the big picture I’m getting is that in terms of MB and MBP etc, Apple made a decision whether consciously or not to prioritize aesthetics and arbitrary notions of thinness etc over performance. I hope this doesn’t actually signal the end of MBP as a lasting brand but I’m not holding out much hope.
I am a formerly loyal Apply customer too. So I guess my next move is to start looking into Hackintoshes. I really hate Windows.

It’s especially frustrating that they’ve jacked up the prices to insane levels at the same time they totally screwed the pooch on the hardware. Do they care about OS X at all anymore? Seems kind of like no.

Comment on How do you think of love relationships? in ~talk

Anyway I’d argue that romantic love is usually motivated by ego, and the nature of our adult relationships was most likely shaped by the nature of our relationships with our parents as children.
Now that I’m older I don’t know if I’ll ever be in love again. I feel love, but in love? Not so much anymore.

Let’s have a real discussion about how online communities such as Reddit and tildes are wide open to manipulation frequently being masked by the mantle of “free speech”. Spare me your defensive comebacks.

Correct me if I’m wrong but this site was specifically set up as an alternative to Reddit wasn’t it? Maybe you aren’t so familiar with Reddit but it is basically the real world example of the ideals you set out here.
At first glance you might not notice how toxic the discussion there has become since the perpetrators generally are as dishonest as possible about their intentions. But make no mistake about it, the intention is solely to sow hate, and it’s been accomplished almost entirely under the banner of free speech fundamentalism.
With due respect, the fact that this is currently the top submission to this site does not reflect well on tildes in my opinion. I’m not trying to leap to judgement but it’s such a trite attitude in the context of Reddit etc, sorry, and as I said, it’s a simplistic mindset that can easily lead to some very toxic repercussions.
Fair enough. The Australia thing wasn’t meant as an attack on your submission, it was just my perspective as an outsider. Tbh I’m from Reddit and I’m still sorting out the Tildes system. My reflex when I’m the first commenter on Reddit is to post some kind of summary of the article from my perspective. And of course on Reddit we curate our content ourselves but Tildes is clearly different in ways I don’t fully understand yet.
Regarding the linkjack thing I was wrong and again offer my apology.
