I find it reprehensible that the NFL is trying to throw either team under the bus to explain the field issues from the super bowl.
The NFL just seems unwilling to acknowledge that their field conditions are a problem. Whether it is Artificial Turf vs Grass vs Hybrid, poor management from event staff, or a director screwing up the field care for the most important game for their viewers, the NFL is the best at deflecting/ignoring problems that affect the quality of the game.
It's almost like they are so big they know their bottom-line isn't going to take a hit no matter what. As much as I am addicted to this sport, I wish the players would sit-out in a big protest that would finally force the league to address things.
San Diego Chargers have to have the worst field in the NFL today. I'm surprised we're not hearing more from them. It just sheds Achilles.
How obnoxious. Own up to it, NFL.
