    I'll take this even further and say that I usually refrain from commenting unless I feel like it adds to the conversation knowing that it will bump the thread back up to the top of the Tildes feed...

    I often write and then delete without posting because I feel it adds nothing to the conversation

    For a lot of phones, you have to pay extra for that warranty, and it usually comes with a 'per incidence' fee as well.

    warranty period would cover putting genuine parts in for free

    What's wrong with Gmail search? I'd agree with Google search being almost useless nowadays but for me, whenever I search my emails in Gmail it's been rock solid.

If you're using a device that sticks to the true intention of Android like the Pixel series then there hasn't been any change for toggling from sound to vibrate in quite some time. You just click up or down on the volume buttons and then you can click the button on screen to toggle sound/vibrate.
