It’s hard to overstate what an impact Friends had on a whole generation, worldwide. What a legacy to leave

My mother, who was the same age as the characters as the show was airing, loves Friends. It’s her favorite show. And Chandler was her favorite. So she’s just absolutely devastated right now.

Joey was my guy honestly but the name "Chandla Bhing" said in a nasally New York accent will likely be burned into my brain for the rest of my days.

If I was in possessionof such things, I would definitely have a hard seperation between intoxication and water/swimming in general.

He is an addict. For addicts, you can't separate drug and alcohol use from, well, anything. Unless he planned to never shower or bathe again I suppose.

Or would, ya know, hire a non-sexual lifeguard to make sure there's no sharks in the tub and that you get out safely. I would honestly consider being the drug and safety buddy to the stars if they ever decided to take me on.

These things are so preventable when you have a loveable (+knowledgeable side kick) beating back death for and from one and sharing all their extensive drug knowledge/experience with you for fun and profit (not dying)

His autobiography is very sad. He felt abandoned by both his parents, who both put their careers ahead of their son and he saw his dad (an actor) more in ads on tv and in print ads than he did in person. He spent his life looking for the love he never got and had great difficulty trusting people who loved him. Started drinking at 13. Said he spent over 7 million dollars trying to get sober, thousands of AA meetings, 15 stints in rehab and still the demons haunted him. Very sad indeed. Rest in peace, Matthew Perry.

I feel very bad for any children that result from such monstrous unions. Honestly, don't really feel jealous of rich people/kids unless their parents are second generation and actually half-fucking decent.

I'm thankful for such apps, truth be told

I've now started on a re-watch of Studio 60. I was never into Friends (just not my thing), but I liked his acting. I'm sorry he is no longer in the world.

Rest in peace. We do a rewatch of Friends at least once a year so this hit hard, I'm so sad.

We talked about him being immortalized in this beloved show, and being loved by many fans, so we shouldn't feel too bad. We played the next episode we're on in season 2, The One With the Lesbian Wedding, and... ouch: it happens to start with a death as part of a side plot of that episode, the old woman's ghost haunting Phoebe...

I don't know if we can watch the show the same way anymore, but of course we'll still watch it nevertheless.
