Not bad. Where I live so many drivers overshoot the stop line and stop in cross walks. I honestly think the only way things get better is more strict enforcement. It sounds lame but how else? I see people blow reds & stops in a multitude of settings. On top of all the other terrible things. People just are not held accountable for what becomes years of bad habits and wreckless driving. Hell, even when people get caught with DUIs or no license, they still just drive.

It works in tandem with winds/standard propulsion. When air is passing by a cylinder, it would normally curve around it, some what symmetrically. But if you spin the cylinder as air passes by you can create a turbulence that actually assists in propelling. It is almost like how a wing can create upward lift by taking advantage of air moving across it.

I've had one for a while now. I don't call anything that comes out of it ice cream. There are some recipes that are very ice cream like, and you can make great things, but I don't try to fool anyone into thinking it is ice cream.

How it mostly works is: you freeze something, depending on desired product, into a solid block essentially. Then a fast spinning bladed paddle slowly plunges into the frozen block. The frozen product is being scraped (almost like shaved ice), aerating the product, which depending on your recipe makes it like ice cream. The texture is "creamy" even when the recipe calls for no cream because of the aeration.

Personally I love it because I can make a healthier alternative to store bought products, then even add any mix-in so you get exactly what you want.

As previously mentioned by another, the con being it is loud, and too small a portion for many people, and needs to freeze for at least 24hrs before processing. Other cons - it is a relatively big appliance for counter tops or cabinets imo, have to be careful to freeze only soft/pureed/liquid and make sure the surface is even. I imagine if that blade-paddle hits a hard ridge and not a flat surface as it plunges initially, it would do some damage. The blade isn't directly attached to the shaft, it actually attaches to the inside lid of the outer container, then the shaft grabs it as it spins.

Overall it is a strange device that works quite well.

The NFL just seems unwilling to acknowledge that their field conditions are a problem. Whether it is Artificial Turf vs Grass vs Hybrid, poor management from event staff, or a director screwing up the field care for the most important game for their viewers, the NFL is the best at deflecting/ignoring problems that affect the quality of the game.

It's almost like they are so big they know their bottom-line isn't going to take a hit no matter what. As much as I am addicted to this sport, I wish the players would sit-out in a big protest that would finally force the league to address things.

Been a San Francisco 49ers fan almost as long as I remember, just because my parents bought me some merch when I was a kid. We've not won a Super Bowl since I was 1 years old, and had some awful years, but our newest head coach & general manager are very competent and here to stay. We've got one of the best rosters in the league as well, we've just had some bad injury luck causing the team to fall short of the championship for the past several years.

ZZ Top peaks on my list. They played so tight and their sound is big for a three piece. I am glad I got to see them before Dusty passed. I'm a guitarist heavily influenced by Billy Gibbons so that was a treat. Too many bands I've missed out on, now.

Seen The Sword three times and the show isn't flashy, but once was opening for Metallica & Lamb of God in '08, so additional points. Second time they had Big Business and O' Brother open for them, and the third time just as a solo show in a local venue, and Stoner/Doom shows just fucking bang.

Weird Al was such fun. Huge energy, lots of fun stuff between songs with many costume changes. Vibes like mad.

Seen Metallica a few times and they play really well still.

Honorable mention: an AC/DC cover band called High Voltage, I believe. They do mostly Bon Scott era songs and they kill it, as silly as it sounds.

Football/Soccer has a good flow and the players are impressive athletes. The stamina and endurance it takes for those games is pretty unmatched by many other team sports, imo.

American Football. It is a sport everyone is aware of, and is the most watched sport in America, so it is a little dumb to say this, but I think it is underrated. I think it is one of the most team-oriented of sports.

The average fan doesn't really know the depth of complexity in the sport. It is exciting to casual viewers because of the passing and big hits; however, that is just what pop on screen (and what they mostly show on screen is so little).

Every play has 22 players on the field, 11 vs 11, which is already more than any other major sport. At the highest level (NFL) every position on offense, defense, and special team (the "three phases" of the game) is important and nearly always has to give maximum effort because a mistake of turning the ball over or letting the other team score can lead to a loss.

As for losses - they are terrible (duh)! But seriously in order to get into the playoffs (in the NFL), each team only has 17 games to make it happen, so each game is high-stakes, especially compared with a sport like Basketball or Baseball where they are playing series of games against an opponent. And every playoff game is win or go home.

As for the strategy play to play there are so many different ways to move the ball, and everyone of them is a highly coordinated effort of 11 players on offense given a play by a coach/coordinator, lining up correctly, and executing. The problem with watching a TV broadcast is that 55 yard wide field looks so much narrower and the side-to-side dimension of the sport is lost for most of the game. Not to mention how little of the defense is shown pre and post-snap.

Many of the defensive backs are not even in view in real-time on the screen for TV viewers, so yet another dimension is lost.

I think a lot of people think the sport has too much down time with commercials (unfortunately SOME those stoppages are mandated by TV deals), but in reality every second on the clock counts. I could talk forever about the time management aspect of the game, and how players & coaches have huge control over it.

I think many think it is a dumb meat-head sport, but defensive strategies as well as offensive execution is complex.
