I really hope I don't have to eat these words.

Now I have to eat these words. Yay. This team didn't show up. Uninspired. Distracted. Too full of themselves? I don't know but this young team needed this game to learn that is that you can't take anything as a sure win. I hope this means they can use this to "lock in" again and not play like garbage

That being said, I'm not enthused when our head coach is quoted like this:

Dave Canales on calling more explosive pass plays: “I’ll call them more when we have more success and those things come to life for us.”

He's basically saying that the team as a whole isn't there and honestly, I'm inclined to agree. We're halfway through the third year in the Bryce Young experiment and, unfortunately, I don't see that he's going to really figure it out. We may keep him on for next year because it's a cheap rookie deal, but I really do think we need to look out to get someone new. What scares me is that we are going to end up with someone like Kyler Murray, who I like even less. People are crying about the "wasted value" on the trade to get Bryce, but at this point it's "whatever" to me. It's done and doesn't matter. What matters is what we do going forward and a new QB is it.

Anyways, this week is the Falcons. They aren't the same birds we blanked 30-0 early in the season. I'm going in with no expectations, hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

But then somehow the Dolphins beat the Bills, which really warms my heart. I've been so detached from the Dolphins this season that I wasn't even aware of who they were playing this week. So imagine my surprise when I was checking scores Sunday night and saw the Dolphins not only won, but won substantially. I won't let Miami's patented false hope get me though!
