2025 NFL Post Season 🏈 Weekly Discussion Thread – Freetalk
No games played this week and we're all jut waiting for the Super Bowl. So let's just have a free talk about anything football, super bowl, half-time show, etc.
Okay, I'll be the one to say it:
A sport's Hall of Fame should leave ego out of the voting. Any voting committee that has ego involved in their decision should be scrapped and reformed.
Anyone who says a person like Bill Belichick shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame first ballot should have their voting privileges removed. It ruins the integrity of the institution and the legitimacy of history they claim to preserve.

I couldn't agree more, and I say that as someone that hates the man, his team, and his little QB too.
Rooting for the Seahawks.
The Patriots have had enough success in the past few decades. It's not fair that they haven't experienced a significant amount of time feeling bad about their team.
Plus, Sam Darnold has a fun underdog story. High draft pick by a bad team like the Jets, then bounced to another bad team at the Panthers, spend a year as a backup on a good team like the Niners, experience success on the Vikings only to be told they don't want him anymore, then win the superbowl with a new team the very next season on his 5th team in 8 seasons? It's an interesting narrative. Anything that makes teams question their questionable QB development practices sounds good to me.
