How’re people feeling about next season? Will Arsenal be able to threaten as much? Or will it be more City dominance? How will Utd look under Ten Hag? Will we start seeing more from Newcastle?

I'm not so sure about next season. I'm looking forward to the Europa League, I think Liverpool can go deep in it. As for the league I think top 4 is the target, pushing to immediately be challenging for a title again is probably a bit much to ask.

We still haven't finished our summer shopping yet, so the jury is still out in the strength of the team next season. We need at least 2 more midfielders and probably someone who can cover both center back and right back. With the turnover of the recruitment team I'm not super confident that we'll be able to get the people we want, or at least not in the same way as previously (all sneaky like).

I think that's a really realistic set of goals for Liverpool tbh. I'm glad they're giving Klopp more time, he's definitely earned it, but with clubs being so trigger happy at times you never know....

It seems to be one of the few things that unite Liverpool, Arsenal and Utd, I don't think Arteta or Ole would have survived for as long at any other club in England, and Liverpool were very pateint with Klopp.

What is the consensus among the Liverpool fanbase about last season, out of interest?

I'm also looking forward to Europa because of Liverpool. How do you feel about Mac Allister?

I need to see the summer transfer window through first, but I have a bit more confidence as a United fan than at any point over the last 10 years. Realistic expectation is top 4, getting to CL knockouts, and another cup run. I don't expect City to lose grip over the league title until Pep leaves barring an unprecedented injury crisis, but I do think Newcastle will regress somewhat with all their extra fixtures even after this window. The depth isn't there yet. Same goes for Arsenal fighting for top 4 while being in CL instead of challenging for the title like they did last year.

My prediction for top 4 would be City then in no particular order Arsenal/United/Liverpool with Newcastle dropping down to a fight for Europa with Chelsea and Villa. Of the clubs who qualified for Europe through league position last year, I'd say Brighton is most likely to miss out. Chelsea is the biggest question mark for me - could easily see Poch getting their shit together and making a run at top 4 with only the league the worry about despite the weird ownership situation.

I agree re confidence, Ten Hag has been great so far, although I do have concerns that we dropped off quite a bit towards the end of the season. I'm putting it down to a mixture of fatigue & injury issues, and I'm hoping with some reinforcements and a summer off for the players we'll be able to come back a lot stronger. Frankly, two cup finals (one where we lost to the best team in Europe) and third is a pretty good return for a first season in the league, + dealing with the Ronaldo drama.

I think Chelsea will start very strong but drop off drastically - could not tell you why I think this though.
