Interim coach Moreno's last friendly game ends in a decisive victory for the Taegeuk Warriors! That makes it 2-1-1, what's everyone's opinion here? Are you willing to continue to trust the process?

Sonny breaks through the all time national team goal scorer record. Hopefully that's good enough to free him up mentally for the Asian Cup in January!

Why is Moreno so insistent on that 4-4-2 setup? It completely kills Lee Kang-in's style of play!

The midfield looks disheveled at best, thankfully the defense without Kim Min-jae held up; with Hyeon-woo in goal as the most impressive performance on the team.

    Thoughts? Concerns? Comments?

I have few people locally i get to talk about this team with. I think its a fascinating, drama ridden, national team. There's everything from world class players, to corruption at the national football federation level (the KFA), to the press covering the team seemingly being antagonistic at best, to fans being incredibly toxic and dichotomous. There's so much going on!

I don’t follow them but my neighbors do and they were trashing the last coach in the world cup so guess they were part of the toxic fan base lol

Sort of? That, funny enough, actually had more to do with the KFA's (Korean Football Association) corruption!...

Tl;dr he was an excellent player during Korea's golden age, turned lazy ass manager with 0 motivation or drive. He secured the paid position due to personal contacts within the KFA and phoned in the world cup (this was a re-appointment after he was previously sacked from the position after a similar failure in a previous world cup).

One of the biggest controversies was that the KFA pressured him to not start some key players in the final WC group match against South Africa, specifically Son Heung-min due to some drama involving the korean press after the loss to Mexico.
