NHL Discussion
I wanted a thread to talk about anything NHL realted, current or not.
Whos your team? Whats happening right now that you like or dont? Are there any trades that you really want to happen or would be furious if they did?
Caps fan here. I'm still in riding on the Stanley Cup high so I'm still ecstatic with everything. A little sad that Trotz is leaving, but I'm sure he'll find a new job soon enough (Seattle?)
Fellow Caps fan here. Cloud nine does exist and it is amazing! Who do you think the next head coach will be?
I'm not sure. I haven't followed who is available. Reirden (sp?) seems a pretty likely choice, though. Who do you think it'll be?
Yeah Reirden seems to be the consensus and makes the most sense. Lambert too would be good. Honestly I still think that there is a chance albeit slim that Trotz might come back and that this is simply a negotiating tactic. Regardless so long as we promote from within and stick with what clearly is working I will be happy.
This Stanley Cup was probably the most fun I've had in hockey in a while. I'm an oilers fan and absolutely love my team, but watching Vegas rise through the ranks, and the caps fight their way up was phenomenal.
I'm a Stars fan. This year's epic collapse was a good ol' time. Pretty sure today is the 19th anniversary of our 1999 Stanley Cup. I can't believe it's been that long..
I know how you feel bud, Oilers had quite the collapse from our cup run last year. But its all about the fun of the game and the feeling watching them live. So I'm happy regardless

I probably could've been predskid, but I've been predskid29 forever (named after my favorite preds goalie, Thomas Vokoun). I've got another, unique username I might pick up here later (but my friends know me by that username, so I normally don't use it on reddit/tildes lol)
Gratz! As an Avs fan, Pekka and Forsberg are amazing, but I still think PK Subban is dirty. Great guy off the ice, but a total dick with skates laced.
Bolts fan here. I'm super happy for Hedman's Norris win, well deserved.
It's do or die for us next year. I have a hard time believing we're gonna be able to keep all our talent after this coming season as some contracts end, so hopefully we have a much better playoff run than this year. We can't get shut down again in the semis.
Congrats to the Capitals, it's been fun watching the guys celebrate. Well earned.

MacKinnon got robbed of the Hart, fight me. He got penalized for making his teammates better, despite taking his team to double the points from last year. I just hope he gets a bit of a chip on his shoulder and goes beast mode.
I have a friend in Chi town and he was so upset when panarin left, I could not figure out why you guys let him go. Hopefully he does come back, his chemistry with Kane was unreal. Or if he wanted to come play with Mcdavid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
