Or how about Incubus? I'd really love it if they went back to A Crow Left of the Murder.
Rapidfire I've got The Kooks, Klaxons, Gwen Stephani/No Doubt, OKGO, Mos Def (just make another album!), Tegan and Sara, and Maroon 5.
A longer one back is Billy Joel, he really needs to get back to The Stranger. But I doubt that will ever happen.
As a palate cleanser, here's two that will never let you down if you dig their brand of music: Bayside and Spoon. Always amazing, great live shows. They're the epitome of snowmen.

If this whole thing is a rebellion against Microsoft for trying to lock down Windows more (and it very much is), then there's no way they'll support lock in via graphics API. You want games on a Mac? Dual boot with Linux. Try ElementaryOS, they're very OSX-like and can easily be made more-so.

1). Yeah, the problem there is crypto nerds still will give you grief even if you're 15/10.
2.1). How about a password encrypted backup. Something like boxcrypter?
2.1). Have you taken a look at the crypto model Signal uses? I seem to remember them using nested crypto.
3). IDK man, maybe some sort of WireGuard VPN protocol where each device is a server and client? Probably won't work with people moving around. Maybe it just needs to be a custom integration and front-end for a Riot implementation?
