I'm glad Sargeant is getting another year. I just wish there was a place on the grid for Lawson. He looked really good when filling in for Ricciardo and I hope he gets a shot with a permanent seat.

I can’t imagine Perez getting another contract after this one, Lawson will most likely end up in AlphaTauri by 2025.

I agree on Perez, but do you really think Tsunoda or Ricciardo will be the one to take his place? I think Tsunoda is too volatile for the seat and Ricciardo had his chance. He's great for drawing...

He's great for drawing in fans but hasn't had the best form since before he left Red Bull. Personally, I would love to see Sainz get the second seat.

Red Bull is a marketing company above all else and Ricciardo sells like gangbusters. Checo is massively popular in the US, the fastest growing market for the sport, and anyone but Ricciardo will force them to give up a huge chunk of that pie. If they can get even a half decent performance from him I think they’ll be happy to put him in the car, especially since they’re likely to keep dominating with Max for a few years.

As for Sainz, I imagine his entourage is probably too much of a headache for Red Bull to sign him.

I wasn't quite sure about him through at least mid-season. Partly because Piastri was killing it as a rookie (when the McLaren was still pretty bad). But then Sargeant did start getting it together. It's nice to see someone learn and improve, and for that, he definitely deserves another year. Worse rookies have had longer. There's nothing like F1, so there's no way to learn it otherwise.

Plus we get an American on the grid for another year. That's not really that exciting to me, as an American, but it's still nice.

Also American, and also don't really care that there's an American on the grid, but neat I guess. lol

Marks the first time in history that the grid at the end of the season is the exact same as the start of the next one (though there was mid-season mixing around with De Vries of course). Glad to...

Glad to see this. Sargeant is a rookie even among rookies, and Williams knew that he was rushed into F1. I don’t expect him to light the world on fire or even stick around after next year, but this is the right thing to do.
