Tonight marks the return of the highly-anticipated USA Crits season. If you've never been into bicycle racing, but are interested in motorsports, you may find crit racing interesting.

What is crit racing, you may ask?

    • Criterium (crit) racing is a lap-based road race. Typical courses are 0.5-1.5 miles in length and usually have 4-6 corners. The Tulsa Tough Blue Dome crit (Friday night) is an interesting 8-corner crit race. Race speeds are often in excess of 30 mph, and sprint finishes can eclipse 45 mph.

I don't care about bike racing, so why would I watch this?

    • Fair question! This is nothing like the major European races that are on cable TV. Professional level crits are 90-minutes of super fast, super dangerous (crashes are a part of the sport), action-packed racing.

    How do I watch?

    • All of the major races this season are live streamed for free at usacrits.tv.

A headline like that, and you missed the opportunity for "Tune-in tonight to Tulsa Tough"? I'm disappointed :) Also, this looks kinda neat, for once it's not geolocked.
