Lots of job applications, lots of rejections again... I don't know what I'm doing with my life anymore. It feels like I'm stuck forever and never. It's exhausting to continue, but I don't see a way out without it.

Despite knowing full well I'm smart enough it's difficult not to let it get to me. I've been in this situation for a year now.

Thank you so much for this reply, unironically. I so often get the same empty platitudes, advice, and god knows what else, that it's exhausting. Getting some sympathy, let alone empathy, is rare...

Thank you, genuinely. I hope your SO also finds something. ✨

Well done! I tinkered (and improved the functioning of, I'd like to think) a bike over the weekend, and the sense of satisfaction when you get back on and use it to go somewhere is unparalleled (well, maybe not, but it's a good one). I was doing my fixing as I watched a Parktool video (on rear derailleur adjustment) with my kind partner (the patience of a saint!) acting as an ad hoc bike stand so that I could pedal and shift like they were doing in the video.

I bought a mini hot tub, a SpaBerry two person hot tub. My wife has arthritis and takes very hot baths nightly for relief and it dawned on me that rather than use up our precious well water on a nightly bath, a hot tub would make more sense. I got it off the trailer myself and its sitting outside, getting ready to fill. We're looking forward to spending some evenings outside, soaking in the heat and enjoying the great outdoors at the same time.

The cool thing about SpaBerry is that they're movable by one person with a bit of ambition and they run on 120v so you dont need special wiring. Just fill and plug it in. FAR less work than a typical 6 person spa.

Having never had a hot tub, what are the implications for well water use? Can you reuse hot tub water somehow? Are there filters built in like a swimming pool, or chlorine? I'm glad you found an...

Having never had a hot tub, what are the implications for well water use? Can you reuse hot tub water somehow? Are there filters built in like a swimming pool, or chlorine? I'm glad you found an improvement for your wife's treatment, I hope you can both, but especially her, enjoy the benefits of hot-water soaking.

The water stays in the tub, which is good because currently our well is not producing very much (5 gallons a day - it should be 5 gallons a minute) and we cant afford to waste any. Yes, the tub water is filtered with a disposable filter that gets replaced every few months. Meanwhile you have to test the water periodically and add chemicals to keep the pH in the proper range. That keeps the water clear and keeps it from getting smelly or even growing algae.
Thanks, Im 100% sure she's gonna love it, especially in winter since she loves cold air and hot soaking.
