I hadn't taken any vacation days this year and was suffering noticeable burnout at work, so I just requested a week off and am doing nothing. Uninstalling my work apps, disconnecting work email accounts, and just going dark.
I can't afford to go anywhere at the moment (/am taking an actual vacation in November), so the week will be mostly video games, movies, and veggin'.
I'm a morning person, so I'm going to spend at least one of the days waking up as early as possible and going to my favorite coffee shop when they open, and just watch everyone else go to work.
Dear Gods, do it. Take that break, recharge those batteries. I just did this during the last week of August and first week of September. It felt so good. Also, glad to see you're taking a real...

Also, glad to see you're taking a real vacation. I don't do those lol I'm poor*.
*: I'm not poor, so much as I make bad financial decisions because food I don't cook is delicious. So is food I cook but I'd rather do something else lol

Fun week here! We got almost a foot of snow overnight so the city is shaken up, but it also reminded everyone that christmas is coming and they should order custom things at my work now! We were really slow the last couple of weeks, but so far 4 appointments have been made for this week!
Tomorrow is my boss's 70th birthday, we're a super small business, 4 people, so we'll go out to lunch to celebrate! Then, I have Thursday and Friday off for a trip to Vancouver for Shut up & Sit Down Convention which is a board gaming convention! My husband's company is exhibiting and so I'll work that booth a bit and also maybe play some games, etc!
I was really hoping to have my sweater finished by today, but I'm not even CLOSE! How do people crochet so fast?

I broke my ankle a few weeks ago and tomorrow I have an appointment with the surgeon which will HOPEFULLY result in me getting a CAM/moon boot which should allow me to walk and get to work and stuff. My boss is great and has been letting me work remotely for the last few weeks but God damn I'm sick of sitting in my house alone for like 11 hours a day.

I've been on a movie binge lately (I noticed karagarga relaxed their upload ratio, so I can download without remorse). I've watched Höhenfeuer tonight, it's a Swiss movie that take place in a remote alpine farm, mixing disturbing moral tale, beautiful shots and intimate everyday life. It was surprisingly good, definitively the best Swiss movie I've seen.
Murer is, in fact, a veteran documentarian, a specialist in Swiss rural culture with more than 20 films to his credit. He grew up on Lake Lucerne, not far from this film’s location, and he fixes his gaze where a native would: toward the ground, toward the houses and the minutiae of everyday life, less often toward the towering mountains and clouds beyond--the overpowering vistas that are here taken for granted.

I'm a (very) amateur game dev, as a hobby. I had talked about my learning project in previous What are you doing this weekend and What are you working on creatively threads, but that project has since been halted. I may come back to it eventually, but for now it's on an indefinite hiatus. I do hope to get the actual webpage up for it to show my previous states, but it's not been a priority. Most of my website development has been done during downtime at work.
Edit: In regards to going to the gym with someone, yeah. My partner is really into weightlifting and enjoyed our first session and she's looking forward to this session today, so it's kind of awesome to have someone who likes weightlifting too. I haven't really done any concrete WLing since high school so hopefully this becomes a habit for both of us.

Bahahaha thank you, it's been updated. I'm shocked that the website didn't appear broken with the use of http instead of html. That's what I get for copying my old markup constantly and not reading what I typed beforehand. Though I have a feeling that was that way from a loooong time ago since the original pages all came from my old sites.
As for deadlines, it's sort of a no-go. Between work, spending time with my partner, going to the gym, and relaxing, my dev is sort of an after thought. For now anyway. Just gotta find that balance.

At work I'm trying to rob peter to pay paul with equipment as I have two new people starting monday but I wont be here so everything needs to be done by thursday.
Fri through Mon I'll be in upstate NY knocking out another fire tower hike and catching up on sleep while my wife rocks her side hustle selling clothes.

My shitty elevator pitch is "It's a soap opera that takes itself seriously." lol
"Any tips..."
When it comes, it'll come. Aside from writing things for school or work this is my first extra curricular writing project. I have no idea what's made me so go hard on it.
I know I made a go a NaNoWriMo last year with a zombies on mars story. Each day I was putting my words in, I couldn't get the nagging feeling out of my head that I wasn't working on my main story.
Maybe give NaNoWriMo a shot and see how you like it? If not, when your mind is ready to spit it out, it will let you know.
Whats your genres? I ask because Im a big fantasy and scifi fan and NEVER thought Id be writing a love story.

Save this and comment with your finished novel at the end of Nov. I will have time to read then. ^_^

Did all of my homework for this week early, instead of procrastinating until the deadline as I do normally, because I wanted to make time to do Ludum Dare this weekend. I missed the last one, because I didn't even really notice that it was happening. Looking forward to making some cool game, and maybe even rating enough games to get my game into the rankings again :).
Also, I stopped eating meat on sunday, because I already ate mostly just chicken and was thinking that maybe I would be ok with being vegetarian. Not sure if I am going to stick with it too long, but I want to "experiment" with it for at least a month or something.

Considering the weather up here in Canadia, I'm assuming you mean Pennsylvania and not Prince Albert lol
That's an affirmative heh She's definitely not a cold weather person, so no winter camping for her :/
I live up here and I'd say no to winter camping. But I'm also not an experienced camper. And I hate cold lol

My girlfriend and I are going to visit her parents for her dad's birthday this weekend. She and I are taking that day to go to the PA RennFest too.
Good luck on the exam.
Good job getting the guts to ask someone out, and even succeeding :). Have fun.
