Almost all my books are digital now with the exception of frequently used reference books (clicking next or typing in a page number isnt the same as grabbing a tab and turning right to the page) or schooling (i write notes on the pages).

Its so nice to have one SSD with my entire library on it that I can slip in my pocket and go.

Why does it bother me? Because most of the people I see do it make an 8 point turn trying to navigate the ass end of their car into the spot. I think maybe they think they are saving themselves time by being able to pull straight out of the spot but are just taking longer on the front end.

Can I get past it? Not in Northern Virginia. Its a fucking epidemic here. lol

Do other use it to bother me? Jesus I hope not. That would be SUPER petty. lol

While the game is fun and addicting I write a lot and use the character creator to make the characters in my stories while I learn Daz3D studio. So anyone who creates worlds or stories, the character creator is super robust and the genetics feature is crazy. I made one character, then made his parents from him, and then his four sisters from them. Awesome stuff.

Did I expect Sandor to wash his brother? No.

Did I expect it to be better than watching an old invincible Goldberg wrestling match? Yes.

But thats what weve gotten this season. Disappointment.

The show has slowly been insulting our intelligence for a while now but after the shitshow that was Ep 3 I'm watching it for comedy. The amount of suspension of disbelief they expect from us is honestly painful.

I mean, yeah, I get it, the show has dragons and undead but for fucks sake. There were like 18 people left alive in winterfell (none of which were lvl 0 characters) but yet HALF the north, unsullied, and dothraki survived? Bitch please.

sorry this is ep 4 discussion
So yeah, you have someone high in the sky who gets ambushed by a fleet of ninja pirate ships appearing out of no where who have 110% accuracy for unridden dragons. Also they can only fire one shot at a time at said unridden dragons. If there is a rider they get rapid fire but cant hit shit even when the fucking dragon is dive bombing them. Fuuuuuuuck this show.

Exactly, I dont love IT I just sort of fell into it after leaving college the first time.

Burned out on it too and jumped around jobs for a few years and when my wife and I were trying to figure out what I should do after a layoff we settled on IT because it was the largest chunk of my employment history.

It pays well enough that once I bang down my student loans I will be living the life you described.

Hell, Ive started writing and genuinely enjoy the hell out of it. People that know about it are asking if I'm going to get it published and are surprised when I say probably not. I mean I will publish it digitally and charge next to nothing for it but Id rather make something that someone enjoys than beat myself to death trying to monetize it.

My god yes. The phrase "do what you love and it will never be a job" never rang true for me.

I used to LOVE photography, I would drag a camera everywhere. However, my first run through college was costly and I started doing portraits for extra money ( my joy was nature and macro ). Soon it became "I need to do three shoots so I can buy books this trimester or get my marta pass" and it completely burned me out.

I tell younger people now, find a job that pays well enough and you can tolerate it ( for me its IT ) and do what you love on the side.

    In no particular order:

    • Wandering around with my wife and a friend to look for shiny Shuckles and Latios in PoGo.
    • Spitballing my next couple chapters with the wife who proof of concepts my stuff and does some light editing.
    • Playing around in Daz3D studio to hopefully finally get a accurate render of one of my main characters.
    • Getting to Sprint to take my old phone off the plan and put my wife on by herself to save some money.

As you can see some VERY riveting things. lol

Writing out the story of a man who has several kids and the story of those children with some supernatural and superhuman elements as it goes on.

I had the concept for it as a comic but everyone I approached for the art was either super busy or WAY the fuck out of my price range. So it felt to me to get it done so Im doing it as a series of novels.

Im about half to 3/4 the way through the first book with a ton of content already done for the kids and their kids. This is the first thing Ive ever written that wasnt required by school or a job and its seriously kicking my creative ass. Im GREAT with dialogue but description is hard for me. So I end up writing out the conversations and fleshing it out from there.

The scope of it is also pretty terrifying. lol As a comic I had it projected to be 10 issue seasons with 6 seasons. Novels? Holy shit Im looking at 20 to 25 chapters for the first book alone.

That said, Ive wanted to create something for a while but its never escaped my head so the fact that this is free flowing is amazing. So Im just riding the wave and letting it happen. I dont even care if it ever makes money, I just want to make something that someone else can enjoy.
