Today: getting divorced! Saturday: Doing transmission work with my buddy for his truck. Maybe golfing 9 holes. Sunday: Not sure yet, probably working on one of my cars or motorcycles.

I imagine I'll be in bed tonight early. I woke up around 0500 this morning for the gym. I'm hoping to get some gym time in tomorrow morning before an appointment me and my fiancé have at 1030 with a florist. After that... nothing other than meal prep on Sunday (I haven't decided what to make).

In other words, I will likely play a lot of WoW.

My wife and I are going to try and let our two cats sleep with us-- we normally lock them out of the bedroom.

We're pretty certain they decide it's OK to bug us in the mornings (by meowing/scratching at the door) when the sun comes up, and we'd rather they go based off our alarms. And since DST ends Sunday and they'll try to wake us up earlier, we figured we'll try and set alarms tonight and tomorrow to see if they then go off the alarm again on Sunday when the sun's risen a bit earlier.

This is our first winter with them, and when we'd tried letting them sleep with us during the summer's longer days, they would climb right onto my face at 5-6am and rub all over me until I woke up. I remember my dad saying the trick is to never give in/never pay them attention, but when I tried doing that, they'd find something in the room I cared about (headphones, reading glasses, etc.) to chew on and get me to stop them, so we just decided to kick them out.

I don't know why I want them to sleep with us. I find I sleep a lot less comfortably with cats in the bed as I'm too nice to their needs/sacrifice my positioning to let them sleep wherever they lay, but it's an unconscious thing and I don't realize I'm doing it until morning when I've been stiffly contorted. I think we both just feel bad kicking them out at night after we're done reading on account they enjoy being with us and cozy up to us and our books.

    Damn parasites.

Are they waking you up to be fed? Our cats used to heavily bug me every morning, but we got some automatic feeders that give them dry food at 4 AM (about an hour earlier than they'd start trying to wake me up), and now they leave me alone because getting fed doesn't involve me any more.

Yeah, one of our cats gets that too. At least in his case, it happens if we don't clean/replace his dish often enough (and obviously that really only happens with dry food). We give them wet food every day too, the dry food is only that automatic 4 AM feeding to save us from annoying morning cats, and we make sure to clean or swap the dish in the automatic feeder regularly.

    Friday/Today: I sleep.

Saturday/Tomorrow: Real shit? I hope I will manage to go to my German class and then to my friend's wedding party (to which he has invited me literally less than 24 hours before it starts) and not be too late to either of these.

Sunday: I've got some paperwork to do. Hopefully, I'll be able to finally make bliný (Russian pancakes), which is something I've been meaning to do for the last two months or so. I've even finally bought a can of condensed milk, which is an amazing addition to bliny, along with variénje (Russian jam).

My father's coming home to help me out for a few days and we'll be asking our home helper if she can work more hours.

I'm losing my job because the system at my workplace doesn't have my SSN, despite me getting paid on time for over a year.

I can't leave the house except for a few errands.

I have to stay up late but also have to wake up at random times to help my mother with something.

I think I'm going through caretaker burnout.

EDIT: Things got so much worse, holy shit
