LaTeX is unmatched for its precision and extensibility, but requires hacks upon hacks to get to a comfortable position in it. Competing compilers, built on top of a language that hasn't been written in years, lack of unicode support, obtuse syntax, a nearly 2GB "minimal" install size on macOS... its a mess.

I am really quite surprised that Warren is popular here on tildes... I would've thought Bernie would be the only reasonable candidate to most here, but perhaps I am under the illusion of my hard leftist bubble. Warren to me embodies this Žižek quote:

The new ethos of global responsibility is thus able to put capitalism to work as the most efficient instrument of the common good. The basic ideological dispositif of capitalism—we can call it “instrumental reason,” “technological exploitation,” “individualist greed,” or whatever we like—is separated from its concrete socio-economic conditions (capitalist relations of production) and conceived of as an autonomous life or “existential” attitude which should (and can) be overcome by a new more “spiritual” outlook, leaving these very capitalist relations intact.

I'm a Registration Officer for the upcoming Canadian Election on Monday, I'm studying the material I need to know for that; also working two eight hour shifts at my normal retail job! I'm going to be busy. Also hunting for my AirPods case which has inexplicably disappeared.

Thanks for this. I’m aware of that and it gives me a bit of peace of mind, however I am planning to get tested regardless.

Thank you for clarifying. The name is clearly not in the best taste, especially for a website which is overwhelmingly used by white Americans.

Was there a public reason given why that water subreddit was quarantined? I haven't really been following it but I thought it was merely just... praising water? Or is it something more malicious?

So right. I mean, one side of the political spectrum is very clearly wants to benefit massive corporations whilst the other, not so much. It's not really just "wherever the wind blows."

    • Use the boulder style. Floaty is nice, but you need to get used to moving quickly through levels and not landing on every enemy you see
    • Combos are important, but not as important as health. If you're about to take a high risk to keep your combo, rethink it.
    • Focus on powerups that affect the gameplay. Membership card/Apple/ etc. are useful, but you won't need them if you're powerful enough to not lose a life each level.
    • Get used to playing with all the gun modules, and always pick them up for the perks.

Apple has long been a "closed ecosystem" in terms of OS integration with competing products as opposed to their own (especially in iOS).

Is there an external API you're using for this? Or are you using something like beautifulsoup and guessing at html elements that contain the article's content?
