What did you do this weekend?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their weekend. Did you make any plans? Take a trip? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
I had to work over the weekend to get ready for a big deploy on Tuesday that was announced as postponed at 4pm yesterday :/ So that's frustrating and I could really use a day or two off to decompress from all the extra work and the background stress from this quarantine and COVID-19 crap :(
Yesterday me and my parents played domino with some MPB (Brazilian popular music, which is admittedly a horrible genre name, basically the music that was playing in reaction to the dictatorship that popped up), which is a pretty good way to go back to that time.
My wire strippers came in a bit early, so I manage to change the pickguard of my guitar* and resolder the ground wire for the output jack yesterday. Oh, and I changed the strings and gave it a decent set-up. My first foray into soldering and I think it went reasonably well, all things considered. I mean, it looks like a pretty sloppy job, but I wasn't working in the best lighting and I may have had some whiskey in me. Well, it's sending out signal, so that's all that matters! Now I get to play this guitar that's been collecting dust for some time. 🎸🎶
