I had to fly mid-week last week, so it's been self-quarantine island in my house.

Did a rewatch of several Marvel movies as I was in the mood, but otherwise not much.

I was hoping the final parts of my new computer would arrive on Friday so I could spend the weekend building it and setting it up, but looks like they'll arrive today instead.

So I randomly decided I want to learn skateboarding, not only does it look pretty cool, but it will help in forcing myself to exercise more. So last week I bought a skateboard, I picked a "cruiser" because I don't really want to do tricks. On Friday it arrived, so I went to buy some skate shoes, and right that evening I went to try learn a bit. There's basically no good quiet place to learn at, so I've been going to the parking lot of a local store at about 8 pm - which is when it closes. The first night I managed to fall down only like 4 times, didn't get beat up too hard haha. But I am already quite a bit better after the 4 days. I can push, get on the board, turn (carve), I can't really break properly yet though. Going down a tiny hill on the way to my house is incredibly scary and I have to stop like 3 times each time I try doing it, but it's still fun.

Kind of weird to start learning to skate as an adult, but I am still young enough so why not haha. I can't wait until I am much more comfortable skating. It is really really hard and strange so far, but I am mostly loving it. Such a goofy way of transportation, I love it. When compared with scooters, and roller blades, skating is so much cooler, at least in my opinion. As with many many things, I just wish I started when I was much younger.

Other than that, I haven't been doing too much. Still got more than a month of summer break, that I am going to enjoy mostly procrastinating through.

I went to the dentist to adjust my palatal expander/teeth apparel another time. This stuff is biweekly.

Me and my mother went to get some ice cream. Unfortunately I forgot to put that thing in the box the dentist gave me (in the beginning BTW) so I couldn't enjoy it very well, and it probably also gave me a cold too. Oops.

While we ate the ice cream, my mother went to a (paternal) family member's house, and they had a 6-hour conversation about family drama.

For (a tldr-ish, but still pretty long) context about the drama

A few days before this, my uncle's wife was hammering down a wall and because the house is technically/legally my grandfather's house (read), he came to check. After a bit, she kind of lashed out and threw an insult at him and they angrily traded insults. A bit later she was at the street angrily telling to come down and argue with her. There were even a few cop cars that were called into it. Nothing happened afterwards, but it was worrying enough for my mother to go to another family member to talk about it, and my father had misinterpreted something to mean that the auto repair shop my father had worked on for 25 years and is the sole source of income in the family in the greatest economic shutdown of the last 100 years is definitely worth of a 6-hour conversation.

moderate disgust warning, an unrelated accident I had Saturday

I woke up to take a piss at some point high at night and I saw a salmon-ish rug-looking thing right next to me, but it was all curled up instead of laying flat. I knocked it over and I had knocked some cat shit over, and that's why the "rug" was all curled up. I washed my feet shortly after.
