What did you do this week?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
I started using Bumble BFF as a means to make some friends! Lots of mine have moved away and/or don’t share the same activities as when we met. I’m meeting one lady for dinner tonight and another for coffee tomorrow morning.
This works? Huh, I'm surprised people are on it. In years this is the first time I hear of someone actually using it. Other times all I've heard was that it was full of bots/spam.
I’m very selective about who I swipe right on (and was when I was using Tinder back in the day, too). I also try and meet them fairly quickly, which tends to get rid of spam bots and people who are only interested in texting friends.
I'd dropped my bike's wheel off at the bike shop last wednesday for a rebuild after it dropped a spoke, and they warned me it may keep dropping them. I picked it up on Monday, just in time to ride it to school. I've got to take it back in for an adjustment soon after breaking it in a bit. Unfortunately, I took the bus to school Thursday because it was supposed to rain (it barely rained), so it's only got two rides, but I think that may be enough for them to fine-tune the wheel a bit. Bicycle wheels are my kryptonite as I lack the gear and practice to mess with them, even if I can rebuild the rest of a bicycle.
From what I’ve gathered, wheel building is particularly difficult and time consuming. Definitely something I don’t mind handing off to the shop!
