The promo page only focuses on being able to read Substack content, but apparently the app can subscribe to any RSS feed so this is, functionally, just an RSS reader that prioritizes Substack content.
As much as I dislike platform integration, I'm really glad this is working off an established open standard. I hope this prompts a resurgence in support for RSS readers more broadly because many of the available ones seem to have stalled out in terms of support and feature development. This looks so much slicker than just about any other one I've found. It would just be nice if there was a web view too.

I don't think this competes yet with NewsBlur due to lack of web browser support, but maybe someday it will?
