I'm always torn on these things - the engineering and technology absolutely fascinates me, until I remember that the sole purpose of all that ingenuity, design, and manufacturing is intended simply to kill people. And yes, I get that right now it's being put to good use as a defensive tool.
I feel much the same, TBH. I am fascinated by military history, and arms manufacturing/engineering (as my posting history will attest)... but I wish with all my heart that violence and war was...

I am fascinated by military history, and arms manufacturing/engineering (as my posting history will attest)... but I wish with all my heart that violence and war was entirely a thing of the past, and that development of new weapons was unnecessary. Sadly, I doubt I will ever live long enough to see that come true though. :(
