Slow Social networking thread
Back in April we had this thread about Slow Social, a social media platform that only allows one long post per week. I've tried it out but friend discovery is woeful, so I think we could use a thread to share usernames and do some networking. See if we can't get a few of us into using it. If you like the idea and haven't made an account yet, now's the time.
Post your Slow Social username below, and any specific topics you might be posting about.
(slightly off-topic)
I like this idea, but I don't see the point if I already have a personal blog. Why can't we just use blogs+rss to follow friends any more?
You know what, I wouldn't be opposed to a similar thread sharing personal blogs. I was considering getting into proper blogging recently.
Ooh fun! Maybe ... maybe i'll post something . sometime, lol. I'm working on a new blog engine atm :)
My username on Slow Social is Fiachra, at the moment I'm tracking my progress after going on ADHD meds for the first time at age 29 and the effects it has on my creative writing and tech job. I'm gearing up for NaNoWriMo in July and I also post a weekly list of recent Irish Language content being independantly produced online. This includes YouTubers, Twitch streamers and podcasters producing normal online content but speaking entirely through Irish.
I'm trying to get back on my ADHD meds (on a crazy waiting list for a psychiatrist atm) because my family doctor took me off of them because I kept forgetting to take them. Like...dude...forgetfulness and ADHD go hand-in-hand, what do you want me to do? That isn't self-medicating, that's the disorder doing its thing.
But anyway, I'll be friending you shortly.
I missed the previous thread, but this looks interesting, so I'll give it a shot. Username is Hamstergeddon_. As for what I'll be writing about...well I'm currently turning a shed into a home office and progress is slow enough that a weekly post wouldn't be too infrequent, so maybe I'll go with that. First post will be some background on the project thus far.
