    This isn’t surprising, but it’s definitely good to see it rigorously tested and backed up with hard data.

    The whole “I’ll avoid clicking on X, despite wanting to watch it, because it’s not worth having my feed polluted by Y for the next month” behaviour is very real.

      I do this constantly. I'm the same way in other spaces as well. For example, I will immediately scroll past anything on TikTok that appears to have any politics, regardless if I will likely agree...

      I'm the same way in other spaces as well. For example, I will immediately scroll past anything on TikTok that appears to have any politics, regardless if I will likely agree with it.

      My efforts have paid off though, because it is now exceptionally rare that I see any kind of politics on either YouTube or TikTok. There's an election going on in the US right now, but you would never know it from looking at my TikTok FYP.

    This is why I stopped using the home page. I use my subscriptions and sometimes watch things posted here or from my friends.
