I've only been playing around with Stable Diffusion for less than two weeks, but this new model seems pretty exciting.
It seems that the v1.5 Stable Diffusion model was the defacto model, despite recently learning that there were v2.0 and v2.1 releases of the base model. My understanding is that the other versions were too difficult to fine-tune, so they were of limited interest in the community.
Apparently SDXL should be easier to fine-tune, so it will be interesting to see if they've finally released a new model that will take off with the community.
