Eh... there is no denying there are issues at YouTube right now. Demonetization, their top stars constantly causing controversies and burning out, etc. An alternative would be nice... I just think a "blockchain, ICO based" alternative is a probably doomed to failure since it's clearly more concerned with hitting all the right buzzwords than being sustainable.

There’s discoverability and productive discussion, and there’s NOISE. Crypto is usually the latter on places like this.
It seems terrible to me. They clearly have not hired a proofreader for their whitepaper (really, its just more marketing material) and anything that claims they are "super secure" on their website...

Their overall plan does not seem to be too well thought out either, but it does not seem to be worth reading in detail.
Some sort of federated youtube replacement might be a good idea. It could possibly involve a bittorrent like protocol to distribute hosting costs. This just seems like another crypto scam though.

To me it looks an awful lot like LBRY, although I think I like Flixxo less than LBRY. I don't feel that either one really addresses a problem. YouTube is having some trouble, but I don't think...

Does Tildes have a policy on people posting blockchain ICO's yet? The tech tilde could get awfully 'spammy' if it isn't kept under control.
