Yeah, that HoloTile omnidirectional floor was incredibly cool, and way better than all the other treadmill-like solutions I've seen that usually require you to be harnessed into them. It looks like you need to walk a bit gingerly for the HoloTile to work, but I imagine that will only get better with time as the tech gets more developed. And even in its current state I can see that being used in all sorts of fun VR experiences.
Anything that gets us closer to being able to make real-life holodecks gets a thumbs up from me! :P
