More of an answer to what leads me to the tech news I end up consuming, but a combination of Tildes itself and a French blogger's personal link aggregator which very often covers tech news. I also keep tabs on Gamers Nexus for consumer hardware stuff and Brodie Robertson's channel for the Linux space on Youtube.
Hn, YouTube and reddit mostly. Hn for software, and people's weird opinions on system design. YouTube for hardware, because it's just a pure interest thing to me and doesn't affect my day to day....

YouTube for hardware, because it's just a pure interest thing to me and doesn't affect my day to day. I don't need to learn anything specific, but at a higher level I think it rounds out my knowledge.

I think I should be using twitter more (arguably the tech industry standard) but there's just so much noise and hot takes there I'm not sure I like it.
I think Twitter is where non-techs play the "Java or Pthon good?" game and dorks respond them with their invaluable opinionated inputs! Not too bad for myself as I consider myself more of a dork...

Not too bad for myself as I consider myself more of a dork than a nerd. But I still think such pointless posts should stop - and they won't stop as long as they're obtaining several thousand likes.
