Honestly, as much as I want someone to do exactly that, all I want Mozilla to do right now is STOP working on things other than Firefox (and maybe Thunderbird). My impression is that their continuing existence is as tenuous now as it’s ever been, and I don’t think this kind of expansion beyond their core competencies does anything to secure it. Gecko is a vital pillar of the web ecosystem and if it falls, we’re all screwed.
