Thanks I didn’t catch that they literally got the guys from the link I posted into the debate. I’ll definitely give it a read now once I find the time.

I just wanted to drop this link for anyone who is interested to see an in depth analysis that strongly supports the lab leak theory: https://cards.rootclaim.com/analysis/65892f07d97bdb00199d4366

Anecdotally I’ve read an in depth piece about the public letters to the government (apparently that’s a thing for public organizations in China) that hint at there being issues with keeping the lab sanitized due to the specific stainless steel they are using that’s corroding from the sanitation agents they use. Additionally there seemed to have been an incident somewhere late 2019 that caused a government official to visit the site. The letters involving the incident have then disappeared a couple months later. As I can’t find where I’ve read it take this with a grain of salt but maybe someone else has read the same thing and can provide a link.

Edit: I think this was it: https://www.propublica.org/article/senate-report-covid-19-origin-wuhan-lab

It‘s not only that it’s unbelievable but by it‘s own invented logic the story would have been over right there and then.

    Spoilers ahead:

They show us they can influence a self driving car into crashing and the next thing they do is putting the important person on a goddamn plane but the plane doesn’t crash because of the bullet proof plot armor said character is wearing.

If they can mess with earths tech why not shut down and erase everything? One or two super particles traveling at light speed around earth should be enough to keep humanity from recovering anything and have them stuck in the pre computer age.

I have seen a lot of my favorite books getting absolutely butchered by Hollywood so my hopes weren’t very high going into this show. I must admit I’ve read the book once years ago and my memory of it is hazy but considering my past experiences I thought they did a surprisingly decent job at keeping the most important things in the show.

My biggest complaint is the breakneck speed at which they are racing through the story. So many great concepts just got a few minutes of showtime at best, especially the big mystery of the countdown and the actual three body problem are done and over with just a few episodes in and I fear now it’s gonna go the same road as so many great sci-fi shows recently where it’s just all about interpersonal melodrama with a sprinkle of science fiction.

It doesn’t help that the story also devolves into more of a quantum magic kind of science fiction that is really straining on my ability to suspend disbelief.

I forgot to mention there are fancuts of both movies out in the seas to find with additional scenes that where cut from the cinematic version but should have really stayed in.

I‘m one of the few people that loved (alien) Prometheus and alien covenant for their eerie atmosphere and probably Ridley Scott’s style. Happy to see they went through with a third part although this teaser makes it look like an action packed slaughter fest which might please the masses and I will be one of the few that won’t like it I guess. Either way can’t wait to see it haha

TLDR: cost cutting and a focus on raising stock value and payouts to shareholders. Also outsourcing parts to subcontractors who outsourced to other subcontractors.

Your day starts with pushing next on a slideshow and then goes off track pretty quickly as you document a run down and apparently abandoned water power plant that's on the brink of failing.

The game is LONG, has a surprisingly expansive lore that you slowly uncover as you work your way through the massive environment and its puzzles on the way. It's a super slow burn and I think you need to be a certain type of person to enjoy it. Personally I knew immediately I would love this game and I did so even more than I expected!
