I think a big difference is also in the basket design. I have a toaster oven that also air fries and it does a decent job, and the big difference is that the basket is designed to sit inside of a dish that is meant to be put on the top position. That keeps the heat concentrated in a smaller portion of the oven and keeps the air moving more rapidly.
