This is an interactive, console.log essay about love for computers, combating escapism and deactivating healing fantasies to face the world. it's only accesible through a desktop computer.
Please open your browser's developer tools (quick how-to here) and navigate to the console log. Both the console log and this window should both be visible to be able to fully read the essay as intended.

Tildes is just big enough that these sorts of things seem to happen somewhat often! I was surprised to learn that a Tilderino was going to visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in the following week...

I'll mention the birthday paradox but it will be someone's birthday the same day that they read this sentence

Did anyone else get lots of errors with the remote content? The text works fine, but based on the errors I'm seeing in the console output, there should be audio files being played too, as well as some other stuff. Lots of "Failed to load resource", "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED". I started out in Firefox with shields at maximum, then tried some other things including a completely clean profile in Chrome to no avail.
This seems like it could be very good but I want to experience it fully, not just text!
Yes you're correct. Last night I was on my phone so I couldn't try it when responding to you. On my PC I can confirm the same errors that you've described. I've reached out to the author to inform...

I might just be not good at this, but typing c in the console log does nothing (on firefox), it just wants to correct to cache, and if I try 'c' it returns "c". Would love to see how this works!

You need to type in the website area rather than the console area :)) If it was my own creation I'd try to make it work both ways so that it would not be confusing... I guess one could do...

If it was my own creation I'd try to make it work both ways so that it would not be confusing... I guess one could do something similar by assigning a string to the variable c... or maybe something like this would be better:

And I've never heard of it despite being a years-long regular patron of the Ground Floor Theater, also across the street!

weird! I didn't get any errors like that. The nature sounds are nice and match the text really well. unfortunate!
Does it still work for you as of today? I'm wondering if there's something up with the content host.

Thanks for confirming it's not just me! Let us know if you hear back!
I suspect those errors are related to uBlock Origin or another content blocker. If you have one installed, try disabling it on this page.
They aren't. It's mostly CORS policy violations (including the audio ones which are disguised by how they set the audio up).

you're not supposed to type it in the console log
