I saw this video on my feed yesterday and ordered ONE but now I'm questioning why I wouldn't just order two.
What do nodes do? Do they connect to the internet and let you transmit to people across the country?
Nodes are just the meshtastic receivers/transmitters themselves. They act as relays to move the messages from sender to recipient. So you need a certain density of them in an area to be able to...

Thought I'd post an update on this for me personally at least. When I looked online there were no nodes near me but I bought a single device anyways and posted on my city's subreddit about it......

Never heard of meshtastic, but that sounds fantastic. I ordered two, even though we dont have a huge amount of nodes around us.
