    I'm particularly disappointed that Cloudflare is an Amazon service, which I'm now running my household DNS through.

    The article isn't especially technical, but it gives a good idea of the "user's eye view" of the pervasive seductions of convenience and (seemingly) low prices.

      As Bauke noted, you've almost certainly set up your DNS through Cloudflare, a company that is very much not owned by Amazon, not Cloudfront, which isn't even a company, and is just the name of an Amazon product. This is particularly confusing because Cloudflare offers CDN services, and Cloudfront is Amazon's CDN brand.
