    I felt I had to share this. I got this from my newsletter, and it's so weird. WTF. Some brazilians companies that were recently found to have been related to corruption schemes in Brazil did the same thing, and again, they were so creepy, considering the context. I get this is PR, but it feels almost dystopian. I don't know, I just get a weird vibe.

      They don't realize they're being dystopian at all. If they realized it, they wouldn't do it. That's the problem with being alienated from one another, you stop treating people like humans and...

      They don't realize they're being dystopian at all. If they realized it, they wouldn't do it. That's the problem with being alienated from one another, you stop treating people like humans and treat them like simplistic behavioural models (which is accurate to a very limited extent...I hope).

    I think I got the Facebook ad while watching videos on YouTube. It was definitely weird.

    Unfortunately for Facebook, the ad just reminded me of a segment on a comedy news show that showed Zuckerberg apologizing repeatedly over the years for messing up, each time saying things would be better now. (Ah, here's the clip from Full Frontal.)

    Fortunately for Facebook, I still use it to keep in touch with friends and family...
