    I think the idea of mandating interoperability is really interesting. I think that there is a lot of potential shown in some of the up and coming federated networks, like mastodon or matrix, and it's interesting to think about whether a widely accepted interoperable system like email would have even existed if someone came up with it today.

    What does everyone think about this proposal, and the ACCESS Act specifically?

    As a user of the chat service Discord, I think the fact that it is totally closed is doing the many communities that rely upon it a disservice, should it be mandated to become interoperable?
