I'm often home due to being disabled and find myself just searching for a community to interact. It's often been Reddit to the point I used the same username here.....but I find myself seeing so much hate there and wishing to find a place that has at least less. Hopefully if I end up leaving it for good, I'll find a few places to replace it with.....but hoping to find one to be a good start.
That's fair. There are other low effort idle activities that can help fill the void, too. I watch a lot of educational videos on YouTube now. I've been watching more movies. I'm starting up a new...

If you've never tried out IRC there are still a few good IRC channels that give a nice community vibe. You'll see the same people on there every day and it's a platform designed explicitly around interactions. There aren't many passive members.
While I'm old enough that I should know what IRC channels are and have been in them, I actually have not. I'll have to look into it! Thanks for the advice! :)

Honestly this kind of BS is what is pushing me to find a new site as my go-to.....Reddit has went to hell in the past year or two.
