    I think the major reason Tux won out was he was fairly simple, and easily made monochrome, which I believe we're two main reasons Linus liked him. The other stylistic issue is the original design...

    The other stylistic issue is the original design of Xenia is very 90s.

    A last thing that came to mind was a potential conflict with Xenix, the Unix platform Microsoft licensed from AT&T.

    The issue today is Xenia's appeal may be mostly limited to the queer furry community, which specifically represents a small number of people in free software.
