A couple of the colours on ~ need adjustment
Now, this is in solarised dark (1 true colourscheme represent), but this specific issue is present in all current schemes - the blue and purple are way too close together. This also impacts visited vs unvisited links.
On this same note, the button style for solarised dark is not colour-shifted between schemes.
I was just thinking this today myself. I was going to post about it, but I never got around to it.
I just had an issue where I couldn't tell if I had voted for a topic or not, because the purple and blue in the light scheme were so close together. I'm not color-blind, but I'd imagine using purple & blue in a scheme must make things very difficult to distinguish for certain types of color-blindness.
Personally I like the default colors (assuming you consider the solarized light theme the default,) but @deimos has mentioned wanting to add a color-blind friendly alternative or just entirely customizable colors.
The only thing that I wish was slightly different was if link colors were more distinct from the background.
In the default colour scheme, this is pretty bad as well - I often accidentally un-vote threads (yeah I know there is a dotted line vs full one as well, but it's just not noticeable enough).
Well see, that's your problem.. you're not using Solarized Light.. you heathen. Switch to it and all of your life's troubles will wash away in the wind.
The colours don't change in light, they're actually worse since now you're blind.
Plus light themes are for filthy casuals.
The colors look fine to me.
Maybe see an optometrist?
One of those tildes I am not subscribed to. It should be immediately apparent which one that is, but it isn't because the purple and blue are so close as colours. I can see which one it is with a little effort, but the point of good graphical design is to avoid that need.
