Cloberella LinkI don't keep a diary, per se, but like you OP, I keep a journal where I write down a minimum of two things that made me happy today, as well as one thing that I was bothered by. The idea is to...I don't keep a diary, per se, but like you OP, I keep a journal where I write down a minimum of two things that made me happy today, as well as one thing that I was bothered by. The idea is to review them periodically after time has passed to reinforce the good and realize how petty and unimportant the bad is.
I got the idea from CGPGrey's podcast Hello Internet. I've only been doing it for about a week so far though.

I like to know that other people agreed with/understood/liked what I posted, but more on an individual comment basis...I feel being able to see votes per post is enough to scratch that itch for me. Cloberella LinkMy 14 year old son is hosting his first "party", they're playing PSVR, listening to records (he got a turntable for his birthday) and overall having a good time. I spent all morning making food and now am hiding out in my room to give them space and also rest my tired ass. They're celebrating graduating from Middle School.

Most of those can be attributed to people not being informed and just clicking a candidate with a name they liked and the "correct" party...He's run before and got less than 2% of the votes. Cloberella LinkHe's been making crazy claims for years and went to jail for threatening to shoot the President (Obama) at one point. I think he believes the crazy shit he says. Whether or not he's had the opportunity to act out these impulses. . . idk. His ex wife killed herself and their daughter lives with the maternal grandparents. I'd imagine given the ex's suicide the acts of rape he admits to towards her are generally true. Hopefully the family was able to protect the daughter from him before gaining custody.

I'm not color-blind, but I'd imagine using purple & blue in a scheme must make things very difficult to distinguish for certain types of color-blindness.
I read an article a while back that's somewhat related to this. It postulated that humans are causing marine life to shrink because we actively seek out the largest fish, leaving the smaller ones to breed and repopulate the schools. Predators don't usually go after the largest prey, but the smaller and the weaker. Humans, however, deliberately do the opposite, especially when fishing. Unnatural selection.
Then again, we are part of nature as well, so perhaps it's just regular ol' natural selection after all.
