Could we get a “mark all as read” in our inboxes?
When you’re universally beloved (or just posting a lot of open-ended discussion threads, one of the two), you can get a lot of replies in your inbox, and it can be a pain to mark them as read one by one. It’d be nice just to be able to zap them all.
Or, if there’s a way to do this already, please let me know.
There isn't now, but there will be. I think it's mentioned somewhere down this FAQ thread. I suggest you take a look to know more about the different plans. There might also be an open issue already on gitlab, i think.
Indeed... It's even one of the few upcoming features labeled 'high priority' too: https://gitlab.com/tildes/tildes/issues/49
Also, @senatorskeletor feel free to check out the development board to get a sense of what is coming down the pipeline: https://gitlab.com/tildes/tildes/boards
Cool. I'll save the gitlab link in my clipboard for next time.
Thanks!
Shit, I'm sorry. I actually meant to read all the introductory stuff before getting into posting, but I see I missed the FAQ thread. Thanks for linking me!
It's okay. We just need to make do for the moment until the docs are more developed and there are some stickies or links somewhere.
Hear hear! I thought when I accessed the inbox it was actually going to mark them all as read automatically, came back to what I thought were unreads but they weren't!
It's above right now so that (combined with the comment disappearing when you mark it read), you don't have to move your mouse at all to read/clear multiple notifications. Having one at the bottom as well might be a good idea too though, especially on mobile where you might have to scroll a decent amount for a longer comment.
