Suggestion: a 'my discussions' page (or similar)

So I've been really excited about this page, but lately I keep coming here, glancing at the front page, and then leaving. I think it's in part the minimalist design and the way the colour of the clicked links is very similar to the colour of the unclicked ones, making it unclear at a first glance which threads one has visited already.

Since the pace of debate is moving much slower than on Reddit here (which I think is a good thing), it would be very useful to have some kind of a 'my discussions' page that you could save threads to - either threads you are participating in or just threads you are excited to see the responses to. This would make it much easier for users to return to interesting discussions without having to browse around ~ for ages trying to find that one interesting topic.

Anyway, @BuckeyeSunday has a very detailed post here and header #2 may be of interest to you.

Suppose you have a thread ... This thread promises to be very interesting, but there's no discussion in it right now and you don't really have anything to add to it. It might have a fairly slow pace of discussion, and so you as a user want to keep appraised of discussion developments in that thread. Well, why not follow it! Right now there is no tool available to follow threads that interest a user.

This in a lot of ways would allow users to treat a thread as if they themselves were the OP (without actually being the OP). Maybe all top-level comments would go to a following user's inbox. Maybe a little notice would pop up saying "A thread you're following has new replies!" Boy, that would be exciting!

The rest of the post is full of interesting ideas and I would suggest reading it.

Right now I'm using the dracula theme (the link colour turns from blue to pink) posted by @Bauke here, you can also find other themes here, if that one isn't your cup of tea.

But, that being said, it is a valid criticism of the main site and themeing it isn't particularly useful for those that can't have Stylus/Stylish on their devices.
