Feature Request: Save Button

Tags: feature, save

I would like the ability to save threads or comments, especially if they have links. Something within the platform that would allow me to go back later and watch a linked video or re-read someone's long synopsis would be super useful.

I figured someone else had requested it, just couldn't find it. Cheers!

I'd like to see a fair amount of consideration put into this feature as well. I think if it's positioned right it could lead to longer lasting discussions. Mainly don't just bury it in the users...

maybe a 'pin' button? I find that I use the save feature on reddit, hacker news, kind of like bookmarks. Meaning I save the post and then it gets lost in the ether and eventually I might come back...

I find that I use the save feature on reddit, hacker news, kind of like bookmarks. Meaning I save the post and then it gets lost in the ether and eventually I might come back to it (but probably not until I no longer remember why I saved it).

If it was pinned to the top of the page, I'd actually keep my saved posts under control. Most things I save I only want to come back to within a few days anyway. Anything longer than that, I'd bookmark it - though I've already said I use that wrong / accumulate clutter anyway.

The problem with bookmarking is that unless you're using browser sync features, those saved links won't be shared across devices.
