Hurtigruten Norway's new cruise ship design includes batteries and retractable sails equipped with solar panels

    this is really hopeful news. I went on a cruise before and I liked the experience, but really disliked (1) the environmental impact and (2) how the industry treats their workers. So when cruises can be zero emission, hopefully they can fix the other issue and I'd love to go again.

    also ironic that “Hurtigruten” means “the fast route” -- but now they're running cruises, which are on purposes super slow do nearly nothing ships :)
